Costa Rica Rainforest Experience started when our founder, Carlos Chavarría, noticed the lack of travel services that could accommodate large groups, hungry for travel that went beyond just classic tourist attractions.

At the very start of our journey, we focused exclusively on working directly with colleges, mainly from the USA, interested in giving their natural sciences students the opportunity to see the theory in their books occur before their own two eyes. As our business progressed, we opened up our travel services to every adventurer with a thirst for learning and anyone interested in non-traditional travel.
